A very nice and accessible cemetery with graves from a century ago to the modern day. It's a very peaceful place to walk around despite being adjacent to the main road, particularly in the evenings when the road gates are locked. There is a crematorium at the front of the site with an old dilapidated chapel in the middle of the plot which as of September 2018 is finally being renovated after decades of neglect. Due to the slope many of the graves are in poor condition with toppled stonework and cracked or broken monuments. These are being maintained and repaired but it's a shame to see them so run down. Well worth a walk around, not as overgrown as the General Cemetery and with fewer of the great and good buried there, but a nice visit nonetheless.

Large cemetery with great views of Sheffield some grand headstones
It's a nice peaceful place to visit. But it can be accessed all the time at one end only for you to get to the other side and find the gates locked. I can understand that for the car entrance but pedestrians?
