I love this oasis of peace in the bustling city centre. Small but a wonderfully varied collection of artworks with a few stunning pieces.

It's a long climb up 3 big flights of stairs above the library (lift was broken when we visited), but the reward is some real gems. Cezanne, Burne Jones, Pisarro ... worth the effort.
We entered this gallery without high expectations - we were wrong - an excellent gallery with a range of artwork from modern to classic. Could be a bit more informative, really four and a half stars.
It was very enjoyable! The staff was friendly and the shop had a good selection of gifts. The gallery itself was lovely and I especially enjoyed some of the local art (and locally inspired art) that they had. It is always so refreshing to see an emphasis placed on celebrating and preserving local history. I am very pleased with this gallery!
