Great place to spend a couple of hours lots of interesting stuff especially beautiful items made in Sheffield. Local volunteers who care about old Sheffield there last week end. Should put a tourist information area in it as we don't have one which is a shame lots to see and do but visitors can't find any info on
Lovely space, lovely staff, fully accessible. I try to make a donation every time I visit but am so grateful to know that it's still available if I'm broke!! Interesting exhibitions, often bridging art with social and industrial heritage esp of Sheffield. Lots of activities all year round, many free/cheap. Always something going on, check website /join mailing lists. Personally would love one night per week evening/night time opening) plus cafe/coffee cart), that'd be a cool alternative to the pub!!
This place is great.Free, has things for little ones to see and play with. Coffee is good and it has toilets downstaits. Nice place to cone and get out of the cold.
Ive been to two fantastic life drawing classes here - the tutor is wonderful. Great cafe and shop and always some very interesting exhibitions on. Please support this gallery!
Small but perfectly formed. A great exhibition of art based around the theme of light and darkness that even my 4 and 5 year old enjoyed (especially the opportunity to make their own creations!). A fascinating gallery on Sheffield's metal working - again with distractions for the little ones.And a brilliant collection of John Ruskin pieces. All without charge but, quite rightly, you are encouraged to make a donation. What a gem. I hope to visit again.
