My experience, not just this latest purchase, is that you can trust Pimoroni. Now that I have actually bought a Raspberry Pi, I found that I needed a good power supply. Most of the ones on the market get up to about 2.1A. I'm still not sure I needed the extra current for what I am doing, but this delivers.You can spend a lot more, but you don't need to, and some of the high-power USB chargers only work with laptops that can send the right feed-me signals. This delivers for a Raspberry Pi.

These folks are great. They have a pretty well organized website. The prices are already good but their discounts are awesome. The products I have ordered and received are well made and the process of getting them is pretty much painless. Keep in mind - I'm across the big pond on the west side (USA) and I still order from these folks.
Great website: easy to navigate, lots of info and colourful. One way to make it even better would be to provide estimated delivery time much earlier in the ordering process - I think I had to get as far as entering my card details before I was told it would take 2 days from dispatch. E.g. on one well known retailer's website the product pages themselves contain text such as "Get it by Tomorrow, Jan 17".
