I cannot stress how disappointed I am with the team at the call centre and staff on site at the EIS venue. I have been with this company for around 7-8 years now, not once did I wish to cancel as its very close to my home when I signed up, I now live 30 mins away but still travel there as am familiar with the place. However as am sure all of you know that unfortunately on some occasions there are activities on site and other times at Ice Sheffield across the road, this does lead to not being able to park. what has made me cancel is having to travel 30 minutes to come to the gym to find out that there is no where to park, after finding somewhere to park I was provided with a parking notice, I was told this was only a warning and then a week later I was asked for 100 fine. I rang and explained but no help was provided. this made me think about leaving the company and siging up somewhere that did have plenty of parking space and didn't prioritise people who would just come for an activity. I rang up to cancel and was told that I have made a payment on the 1st therefore no more payment is required, I was then asked to ring an alternative number to make the cancellation, no questions was asked to why am cancelling.... When I rang the second number I was then told I have to pay another month, this is something I now have to pay when I wont be using the gym at all as I have now signed up at a different company (Hiltons Gym Membership) which is actually more expensive then what I was paying but customer service is the key here. after being disappointed about having to make an additional payment I was rudely spoken to and hung up one once I said, '' yes I would like to cancel'' again no questions was asked to why am cancelling...I just think that customer service has gone down hill massively, and even notice that in the gym alone more and more people have started using other companies which suggests that their no longer happy with the site. I hope this is picked up and something is done about it.
Signed up for so called "Life card" for 3/person, went there a couple of days later, brainless receptionist said there are also 20 induction fee, which was not mrntioned when we applied for the life card, and on top of that 7 every entry for some ancient equipments. Cancelled it when I left, absolutely worthless. Monthly membership 31, what a joke! To sum up:- unfriendly band unhelpful stuff- out of date equipments - over-charged price- any other gym can beat this one easily.
I pay 46 per month to go with my daughter and my baby to the pool and since my daughter is not home educated and she's in the school they don't let me in with the baby and her because it's a one-to-one ratioafter 3pm (they never told me when I joined in, she's 7 and knows how to swim. So we've been paying for a full year and only been able to enter twice when they were not watching. Using our wristbands. I don't like to lie and say she's 8 and in the end it's the only thing I have left because I have a contract and I can't stop it but I am wasting my money and time every time I go and they say I can't enter
