LEFT FEELING DISGUSTED AND DISAPPOINTED!! I organised this night out to see General Levy at the The Night Kitchen, with my partner and his friend, when they first released the tickets months ago. Im a 37 year old mum so I dont have many nights out so when I do, I like to look nice, have my makeup, nails done, nice outfit. Also, paying for childminder and cabs to the event was another expense. Last night, I had a few glasses of prosecco and we set off to the event in Sheffield. We arrived around 12am when the event was about to begin. When we queued, we were refused entry by an Asian bouncer who was in his late thirties. He said I was too drunk! I contested it in a friendly manner and then he become very aggressive and threatening. I was just in complete shock at first because I wasnt drunk and I couldnt believe what I was hearing. I wasnt even talking or anything in the queue, I just queued in a normal manner. We wasnt roudy or loud, we were presented well and dressed nice. This man was extremely nasty and rude! Im a 37year old women, I do not need to be spoken to and threatened like that! My partner was a victim of an attack some years ago and was left with a disfigurement: half his ear is missing on the top. I do not believe that this bouncer thought I was drunk, I think he saw my partners ear and didnt like the look of us. This was an event that I had paid and bought tickets for. This began at 12am. What on earth do they sell alcohol for at an event if you cant have a few drinks? I wasnt stumbling about or slurring or anything in that manner. All the money I have wasted organising this night out has been a total waste. Im absolutely disgusted that I was refused entry and in that way. This member of staff treat me very unfairly and Im really upset about the decision he made, as it was very wrong and absolutely pathetic! The bad reviews about the bouncers on the Facebook page show that these door staff are appalling and really do let down this venue!

Went for my 1st visit for a drum and bass night last week. it's a pretty basic club. Seems to be zero heating in chill out areas, a fair few beaten up old sofas though, the tiniest cloak room ever, a huge area that could have been much better used was just empty on the night I was there. Outside court yards between rooms are more like swimming pools if it has been raining. Atmosphere was great though despite all this
