I ask for an emergency, I was told I had to come 3 days later and take some Paracetamol. Even thaugh I had so much pain. Also the receptionist was very rude and unfriendly.
Booked an appointment online via mydentist. Receptionist greeted me with "you've booked the wrong appointment with the wrong dentist." Apparently the online system gives out appointments of the wrong length, although I'm not sure how patients are supposed to know that. Unclear how they prefer people to book. There's apparently a rule that you have to see the same dentist every time, which is a shame as the "wrong dentist" was a lot nicer than the one I usually see, who always rushes through the consultation. On the plus side it's NHS and they haven't tried to upsell me any private services.
I am unbelievably happy with the work that the team have done for me. Dispelled my issue with the dentist and managed to successfully repair and rebuild one of my teeth that was completely destroyed, and it looks and feels better than a real tooth. (root canal and crown) Bloody amazing. Best practice I've been to and I have full faith that my teeth will benefit from the many more years of business I plan to give mydentist on London Road.
The worst practice receptionist I have had the displeasure of dealing with! I nearly never write reviews and am generally easily pleased but on this occasion I just had to. Phoned in today 16/04/18 shortly after 9 in the morning for an emergency appoinment to be told by the receptionist 'just come down and you can wait to be seen to' I replied, when would be a good time to come? She said 'FROM 10:15.' I came down shortly after 11 (due to the fact that this was the soonest i could get there and i dont live nearby) but apprently i was late for my "appointment" this is the same younger receptionist I spoke to on the phone informing me I was late in which I was confused as I wasn't given an appointment time by her and was told just to come down when I could and wait. I confronted the lady and told her what she told me over the phone but she completely denied saying anything of the sort and made it as though I heard wrong :/ Luckily the dentist did accept to see me despite the incompatant receptionist providing false information and not informing me of any sort of appoinment time. This is only the second time i have used this practice and i have been so far happy with the dentists (which I'm not taking credit away from) but the patient service is shocking at the front desk and don't expect service with any sort of smile. Nobody enjoys going to the dentist and definitely not when you're already in discomfort due to a tooth abscess but the front desk staff makes the experience all the more stressful. I will not be returning and joining another practice.
Having been afraid of the dentist for a long time, I had to bite the bullet and book in after a tooth broke.All aspects of the examination and treatment were explained to me throughly and I was more than happy with the treatment received.10/10
