Wonderful old building, with staff who seem to be immensely proud of it and well-versed in its hisotru. Rooms are fine, though perhaps a little dated in places. The only problem is that those of us who do not own a car are left with a long walk to the station, and, to be honest, the city centre is a similar trudge away, much of said trudge passing through some darker and run-down parts. would I stay again? Absolutely!
Stayed in a refurbished room which was spacios and comfortable. Room was a good temp and had all the amenities with enough sockets, mirrors etc.Clean hotel and friendly staff.Breakfast was good.
Great relaxing hotel my executive room with a spa hot tub was a great way to spend a weekend. Staff were very hospitable and the meals are delicious. Very comfortable double bed to myself too
Old style hotel but the upgraded rooms are fantastic.Gym is well appointed.Food in the bar is good value and very tasty.The staff are what makes this such a good hotel. Very friendly and helpful.
The Holiday in in Sheffield is a good hotel with a good standard of room. There is plenty of parking space all around the hotel, but it must be paid for in advance as the parking is not free. The staff are very friendly and obliging and ready to give assistance with any enquiries you may have. Breakfast was wonderful with plenty of items to choose from. I had the full English, but found the bacon a bit thick an chewy for my liking. The sausages were very tasty but slightly tough on the outside. Everything else was a good standard.The room we had was sufficient for 2 people. Our air conditioning wasnt working so after unpacking we were moved to a better room quite quickly. So if you use this hotel make sure you are happy with everything before you unpack. Its quite annoying having to repack and move. Overall its a great place to stay, pretty much in the centre of Sheffield.
